Not at all, he makes big dumb action flicks that provide glossy entertainment and simple escapism.
In fact, we should shoot the people who think his movies are more than just pure popcorn escapism...shit, Bruckheimer thinks that, fuck it, kill the fucker...

I agree, Bruckheimer makes fun movies that are there to provide an escape from reality. Sometimes his movies are more pain then fun, I speak of Pearl Harbor, but if you don't overanalize and just watch you can be entertained by The Rock and the like.

JB should be shot immediately for producing this piece of ... film ...
Actually Pearl Harbor was the first film that made me leave the cinema to smoke a couple of cigarettes and drink a beer, just to return half an hour later whitout having missed a single minute worth watching. IMHO one of the most useless films ever made.

Hey there.
What I dont understand is why is The Rock "good" and Armageddon "fuckin terrible"
was it the Tarantino rewrite for Rock that made it more exceptable?
Bad Boys didnt cost much more than ten million.
Despin out.

Jerry Bruckheimer makes big bad action films. Why impose a 10 million dollar budget? He doesn't have to, so why do it? He's got the funds to make big expensive action and star driven films why make smaller movies? There's no reason for him to.
